The Women Writers in Contemporary Latin American Literature Course is a 2-week  Spanish Language course offered in January and February 2026 by the Instituto Cultural Oaxaca. Offered on January 19 and February 2, 2026.

Ready to deepen your Spanish skills and literary knowledge? Join us for an immersive course exploring the powerful voices of contemporary Spanish American women writers. This program is designed for advanced Spanish students (B2-C2) looking to enrich their vocabulary and cultural understanding through captivating literary texts.
 

We'll dive into a rich selection of narrative and poetic works from across Latin America, highlighting the crucial contributions of women authors who are shaping the literary landscape today. Each session will feature engaging in-class readings and discussions, where you'll have the chance to analyze themes, identify new vocabulary, and express your own perspectives. You'll also have the unique opportunity to write your own essays, putting your new skills into practice.

About the Women Writers Latin American Literature Program

Enrollment Dates

This course is designed as an intensive, two-week program. You can enroll for either of our two sessions:
 

  • Session 1: Starts on Monday, January 19, 2026

  • Session 2: Starts on Monday, February 2, 2026
     

Join us for this unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Latin American literature at Instituto Cultural Oaxaca.

This course has a limit of 10 students per class. 

​

You must be at least B2  (upper intermediate) or above. 

Women Writers in Contemporary Latin American Literature Program

In addition to this course students can also join cultural workshops for an additional fee.

Requirements to join this course.

  • Be a student or user of Spanish as a second language.

​

  • Have at least an upper-intermediate level  B2) of Spanish as a second language according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
